K type thermocouple
The measuring end of the armored thermocouple can be made into a variety of structural forms as needed. Common types are insulated, shell-type, and open-end.
1. Insulation type, which is to separately weld the measuring end of the thermocouple wire, fill it with insulating material, and then seal the end of the metal bushing firmly, that is, the wire and the metal protective sleeve are insulated from each other. It is suitable for harsh atmospheres, or where the electromagnetic interference of the installation environment is large. It is resistant to high voltage and long life. Although it is difficult to manufacture and has a high price, it is still widely used, suitable for digital display and paperless recorder. And other supporting temperature measurement.
2. Shell type, which is to contact and weld the measuring end of the thermocouple wire with the metal sleeve to form a whole. It is suitable for occasions with high pressure, high temperature and bad atmosphere. The reaction speed is faster than the insulation type, but slower than the open end type. It is susceptible to electromagnetic interference.
3. Open-end type, which exposes the measuring end of the thermocouple wire to the outside of the metal sheath. The reaction is quick, the manufacturing is simple, and the measuring end is easy to repair when damaged, but the moisture is easily absorbed by the magnesium oxide exposed, and the outer leakage of the measuring end is easily damaged, and the service life is not as long as the above two structural forms. It is generally used for drying media with low temperature, good atmosphere and no erosion of the filament.
