In the renovation of older farms and the design of high-density facilities, "insufficient headroom" is often a seemingly impossible obstacle to efficient ventilation. Traditional metal ducts—with their large diameters and bulky insulation layers—can "eat up" 30–50 cm of precious vertical space. This not only compresses the animals' living area but also disrupts airflow patterns, forcing workers to duck to avoid the low-hanging system. The spatial challenge in livestock buildings centers on "structural interference" and "airflow short-circuiting." Broiler Houses: Considering the growth height of broilers in later rearing stages, lowering the duct installation height prevents direct cold drafts on the birds. Simultaneously, the low-velocity permeable airflow helps keep the litter dry, significantly reducing the incidence of coccidiosis.
It is important to note that livestock-specific fabric ducts must pass tensile strength tests to ensure they do not deform or sag under long-term tension. As land resources become increasingly scarce and farming intensifies, fiber fabric ducts are evolving from simple ventilation tools into "3D environmental control experts" that overcome spatial constraints—ensuring every inch of height serves the bottom line of farming profitability.
