The temperature measurement principle of thermal resistance is to measure temperature and temperature-related parameters based on the characteristic that the resistance value of conductor or semiconductor changes with temperature. Most of thermal resistances are made of pure metal materials. At present, platinum and copper are the most widely used. Now they have begun to use materials such as nickel, manganese and rhodium to manufacture thermal resistances. The thermal resistance usually needs to transmit the resistance signal to the computer control device or other secondary instrument through the lead wire. The temperature measurement principle of the thermal resistance is different from that of the thermocouple in that the thermal resistance measures the temperature based on the thermal effect of the resistance, that is, the resistance of the resistance body changes with the temperature. Therefore, as long as the resistance change of the thermal resistance is measured, the temperature can be measured. At present, there are mainly two types of metal thermistors and semiconductor thermistors. In comparison, the thermistor has a larger temperature coefficient and a higher resistance value at room temperature (usually more than a few thousand ohms), but has poor interchangeability and serious nonlinearity. The temperature measurement range is only -50~300℃ It is widely used in temperature detection and control for home appliances and automobiles. Metal thermal resistance is generally suitable for temperature measurement in the range of -200~500℃. It is characterized by accurate measurement, good stability and reliable performance. It is widely used in process control. Metal thermal resistors commonly used in industry are seen from the change of resistance with temperature. Most metal conductors have this property, but not all of them can be used as temperature measuring thermal resistors. The general requirements for metal materials as thermal resistors are: as large and stable as possible. The temperature coefficient and resistivity should be large (reduce the size of the sensor under the same sensitivity), stable chemical and physical properties in the temperature range used, good reproducibility of the material, and the resistance value should have an inter-value function relationship with temperature changes. (preferably a linear relationship).
